About the role
We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist to join our Durack clinic, full-time or part-time.
This is a settled practice, not a start-up. The referral base is established, reception handles your bookings and billing, and you will not be asked to market yourself. What you will be asked to do is good clinical work with a caseload you have a genuine say in shaping.
We are deliberately a mixed team — clinical psychologists, generalists, registrars, a counsellor and an organisational psychologist. The variety makes for better case discussion than a room full of people trained identically.
What you will be doing
- Provide psychological assessment and evidence-based therapy to a caseload agreed with the Principal Psychologist
- Write clear, useful reports for clients, GPs, schools and third parties
- Contribute to fortnightly clinical meetings and peer consultation
- Participate in supervision of provisional psychologists and registrars, if that interests you
- Maintain clinical records to AHPRA and practice standards
What you will need
- General registration with AHPRA and endorsement in Clinical Psychology (or eligibility)
- Current professional indemnity insurance
- Eligibility for a Medicare provider number
- NT Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card) or eligibility
- A current NT driver's licence
- Experience with at least one structured, evidence-based modality — CBT, ACT, Schema, DBT or EMDR
What we offer
- A caseload you help shape, not one handed to you
- No billing targets and no pressure to over-service
- Funded professional development, including EMDR and Schema Therapy training
- Fortnightly clinical meetings and individual supervision
- Administrative support so your time goes on clinical work
- Relocation assistance for the right candidate
- Six weeks' leave by negotiation — the Territory is worth seeing
- Flexible days, and school-hours arrangements are genuinely available
