Psychologist — Employee Assistance Program

About the role

Our Employee Assistance Program has grown steadily and we need another psychologist on the team.

EAP work is different from a therapy caseload: sessions are capped, the work is focused, and you will see a wide cross-section of Territory working life — government, construction, resources, emergency services, retail and not-for-profits. It suits psychologists who like variety and are good at getting to the point.

The role includes some critical incident response, which is on-call by roster and additionally remunerated.

What you will be doing

• Deliver short-term, solution-focused counselling to employees of client organisations
• Provide manager support consultations
• Participate in the critical incident response roster
• Contribute to de-identified quarterly reporting for client organisations
• Deliver workplace wellbeing workshops, if that interests you

What you will need

• General registration with AHPRA
• Experience with brief, focused therapy models
• Sound judgement about risk and when to refer on
• A current NT driver's licence and willingness to travel to client sites
• Organisational psychology endorsement is well regarded but not required
