Louise McKenna

About Louise

Louise founded Darwin Psychology Services and has practised as a psychologist in the Northern Territory for more than 38 years. In that time they have worked across schools, remote communities, courts, hospitals and private practice — and have seen the Territory's mental health landscape change several times over.

As Principal Psychologist, Louise now spends most of their week on clinical governance, supervision of our registrars and provisional psychologists, and the complex assessment work that benefits from a long memory. They remain closely involved in every case discussed at our fortnightly clinical meeting.

Their approach

Louise's practice is pragmatic and unhurried. They are known for asking the question everyone else has stepped around, and for writing reports that families can actually take to a school and use.
