About Thorin

Thorin is a registered psychologist beginning the Clinical Psychology Registrar program. Their clinical interest is trauma and attachment — how early relationships shape the way people manage fear, closeness and conflict as adults.

Thorin works particularly with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and other under-represented groups, and is deliberate about practising in a way that does not require people to fit a mainstream model to be understood.

Their approach

Thorin listens first and for a long time. They are careful about pace, explicit about consent, and will name the power imbalance in the room rather than pretend it is not there.
